September 2009
6 years of hard work and dedication has paid off. Our line of molded calls are raising the bar. All calls sound like a custom call including the honker call with worn guts for an extremely great price. No hold backs on this call – it will flat rock. All calls sound and look great – even the lasered logo on every call. The retail box has even been put in a "Retail Box Competition" for 2010 best looking retail boxes with my manufacturer telling me that it will win. I guess we will find out come February of next year. For them to even mention that really put the icing on the cake for this project as a whole. We have decided to Sponsor several of the best websites available to waterfowlers' in general. We offer the BEST SOUNDS with the absolute BEST PRICING. We will follow up with completing our Duck call line up sometime before the 2010 – 2011 season. Thanks for all the support. We have had an absolute great early goose season here in KY and across the river in Indiana. Calling was off the charts and I personally had a blast. It was much needed, with all the stress from bringing this product to life. I will be working on our marketing plan over the next few months. We are not sure if we will hit the stores or not – we are leaning towards keeping the pricing low by selling the calls through our internet site. It is tough enough out there right now, it might be feasible to stay where we are and pass the savings to you.
We will be sure to let you know the outcome.
PS:
Please help spread the word about our great calls. It would be very much appreciated.
Good luck and Thank you. Tony Hartlage and Team Wingtipsdown.
September 2007
The Orange calls are
finished and my style is now etched in stone. All my
calls from this day forward will sport the Color for
that particular Year produced, my logo, numbered and my
signature (all laser etched) on the back. Once the Call
is sold out, it is "Retired". I will only be making
100-115 calls total per year in the calls made by
myself. The "Money Shot" Goose Call was the first call
to retire. This call helped to finish my vision. I am
settled in with all new guts this year and I can achieve
any sound that you are looking for. The LOGO is new this
year and I absolutely love it. It shows the way I love
to hunt. Keep their Wing tips down and land them on the
"X". This logo will look great on hats, shirts,
sweatshirts, trailers, etc. I can't wait to get a little
bigger. It's taking time, but I'm getting there.
I love this sport and
congratulations to the people that have my first
"Retired" call. I hope it brings you something special
in time (True Collectable). That has been my vision from
day one and this is my third year now. I have my colors
picked out for the next 22 yrs. (that making me in the
call business for 25 yrs, and age 63 if I make it that
long).
If anyone wants to
trade their old guts in on a new set of guts,
send me an email,
and we can work it out.
Note:
All of the Clear and Green calls were still produced
in the first and second year only, I did not purchase
more material in the later years. I just did not have
them all laser etched (1) because it takes money and (2)
I was still looking for my personal vision for the
calls.
December 2006
The
Season is here and I wish you all well. The calls are
going great this year and I always look forward to the
next year of making the calls. The new guts really rock,
and the calls are better than ever. I am running behind
on the new sound files (trying to do more, since I will
be at a real recording studio this time). I guess I will
have the sound files by the first quarter of next year.
I am working on some new shirts with the new logo. I am
really settled in with my style now and it has been a
tough road. I will not be hitting very many shows next
year, but the competition calling - is calling my name.
I will walk you guys through a new comp caller next
year, with full details on my site. I am very excited to
get the comp calling going. It will help me learn more,
and there are always more friends to meet.
Well anyway, thank you
for your support and more stuff to come each year. I am
working on some new molded calls that will someday reach
the stores. I will always sell my custom calls on my
site (or from a few selected people) That part of my
call making will always stay the same I started making
calls because it was in my blood and the love for the
sport, that will never change. I'm just paying my dues.
December 2005
The Season is here:
New PolyCarb Calls
New Goose Long Call (Deep Tone)
I can only do so much at a
time. Sorry for the pictures not being the best and the sound
files not Professionally recorded, but I will have everything
tight and right someday. I have to focus on what needs the most
attention.
The New Goose Long Call (Deep
Tone) smashes the lower notes. I was pulling my hair out on this
one. Don from CO, just had to ask me if he could get a lower
tone. Well, that got the fire burning under my butt and a huge
challenge to get it figured out. Luckily, I killed a nice buck
during our gun season and it freed my time up enough to squeak
this one through. I will have to tell you that I busted all the
stops out on this one to get it right. I personally do tons of
Prototyping, and test everything out to get it just right. Once
I get started - I can't quit searching for what makes it sound
different. All my sounds come from my "ear" and all my failures
- before they make it into a call. They are 100% mine.
Plans in the near future will
include another lanyard made by myself for no more than $10. I
am not here to sell cheap Products, but here to offer "Very
Good" lower cost Products along with my Custom Calls. I missed
out on this every time I went to a show or event this year. With
some help, I was able to put these calls together this year and
now I am able to offer these cheaper calls.
Thank you for visiting my
site, and thank you to everyone that purchased a call so far
this year. All money goes back into what I love - and that's
what you see here.
Happy Holidays and smash some
birds.
We are now coming
up on the Season. I can’t wait to get out in the field. I have
had another busy year this Year. I just came out with my newest
Goose Call and it’s ready to go. I can’t say enough about this
call. If you want a call with attitude and the newest sound out
– then get this one today.
I have hooked
up with a couple great People this Year, Don with
USAWATERFOWL.COM and Jeff with DYNAMICDECOYS.COM. We work well
together and we are all here to do one thing – help you bag MORE
BIRDS. This is what we love.
USAWATERFOWL
will be your best, go to, site on the web. This will end up
being the best site, because you can trust that there is a true
Sportsman heading things in the right direction.
DYNAMIC DECOYS
has an awesome feel for what we need here in the new age
waterfowling. I am all about landing birds, and all the items
that he has to offer, along with a good call, will definitely
help you do just that. I back Jeff’s product 100% as you can see
on his site.
I just added
some Testimonials and others to be listed real soon, so check
them out – you will see how well things are going. I will come
back and add better Quality Pictures sometime in the Future. It
is just so hard to do everything at once. It is also very tough
to get started in the call market. I am in this for the long
haul and Thank You for your support.
Sincerely,
Tony Hartlage
As you can see from this site, I only make 1 color – 1 call name
– 1 picture on the call per year.
The only change to this, is that the calls from the First Year
have changed “Names”. It took me a while to focus in on my
style. Everything was going good, but I have found that I want
my style to be more attractive for Marketing.
There are several calls out there that have :
2004
“Frosted Ice”
I hope to see that, in the Long run, it will make these calls
worth more money since they were my first calls made.
I switched the “name only” to
“Silent but Deadly”
I have always been a silent soft spoken guy almost all the time.
I will do things by myself, I don’t need all my buddies to go
have some fun. Along with the silent part of myself – my calls
proved to be very deadly the first year produced. I really
concentrated on a call that fit our needs here in KY, so it was
a softer call for all the local Birds that we have here.
I have been excited about this year, since January. I knew what
the calls were going to look like. I have settled in on my style
now, and “look out” in the Future.
